This guide explains how to use Ask Novus to explore your product data, analyze user behavior, and manage reports. Ask Novus is a conversational interface that helps you uncover insights without manually building complex reports.

Introduction to Ask Novus

Ask Novus is a conversational interface that allows you to ask natural-language questions about your product usage data. You can explore user adoption, retention, and behavior across your tracked Pages, Features, and flows without needing to configure complex reports manually.

When you ask a question, Novus analyzes your product wiki, user personas, and detected flows to provide contextual answers. Novus queries your analytics database, reviews generated signals, and inspects your product's underlying structure on your behalf to deliver accurate insights.

Understand the reasoning panel

While Novus generates a response, you might see a Reasoning panel appear.

When you expand the reasoning panel, you can see exactly what Novus is doing on your behalf. This includes breaking down your request into sub-tasks, querying your analytics database, reviewing session replays, and looking up product context from your wiki. This transparency helps you understand how Novus arrives at its conclusions.
